TrainingPros Founder Steve Kapaun Retires After 22 Successful Years

ATLANTA, Ga, December 19, 2019 – TrainingPros President Steve Kapaun has announced that he plans to retire on December 31, 2019, 22 years after founding the company. Kapaun founded TrainingPros in 1997 after a 10-year consulting career where he frequently employed the services of traditional staffing firms that often over-promised and under-delivered. He saw an opportunity to provide high-quality, cost-effective learning & development consultants to clients with training needs.

Kapaun Builds a Unique Brand

Over the years, TrainingPros grew from a home office in Atlanta to a presence with one employee serving Atlanta-area companies to today’s expansion into a dozen markets with clients in 20 states as well as overseas.

“My proudest moments with TrainingPros have been when I received feedback from a client that their relationship manager has gone above and beyond and provided the right resource with a quick turnaround time and helped them be successful,” Kapaun said. “And similarly, it was wonderful when we would receive unsolicited feedback from our consultants that they had a great experience working with our clients and that the relationship manager had been there throughout the entire process to make it a successful engagement for them with their clients.”

Leighanne Lankford Ushers in the Future

Atlanta-based relationship manager Leighanne Lankford will take over the company as president. “Steve built a strong foundation of service, learning & development expertise, and superior relationships,” Lankford said. “After 22 years with the company, he will be starting a well-earned retirement, and all of us at TrainingPros send him our best wishes as he begins this new chapter in his life.”

Kapaun shared these final thoughts, “I’ll miss the people I’ve come to know and work with over these many years, but I know the company is in extremely capable hands with Leighanne’s leadership, enthusiasm, and vision for TrainingPros.”
