  • Understand the real reasons why people have difficulty with change
  • Differentiate between facts and myths related to change
  • Understand one’s own as well as other’s reaction to imposed or planned change
  • Take action that reflects essential knowledge of the five stages of transition and what a leader should and should not do at each stage
  • Take specific steps to ease transition for all involved
  • Utilize a checklist to ensure change occurs as smoothly as possible
